Theme license

Slab is sold directly from the Brickspace Lab website with an annual subscription. After purchasing, you receive a license key that can be assigned to one Shopify store. When you install the theme, it will prompt you to enter your license key — this activates the license and assigns it to that store.

If your license expires or is cancelled, you will lose access to the theme. The next time you open the theme editor or a page with the license gate, the theme will prompt you to enter a valid license key. Renew your subscription to restore access.

How do I obtain a license

Purchase Slab directly from brickspacelab.com. After purchase, you will receive a license key via email and through your customer portal.

How do I install the theme

After purchasing, you can download Slab as a ZIP file or access the source code directly via GitHub. During installation, the theme will prompt you to enter your license key, which activates and assigns the license to that store.

What happens when my license expires

You will lose access to the theme. When your subscription is cancelled or expires, the license key is revoked. The next time you open the theme editor or a page with the license gate, the theme checks your license status. If the key was revoked, the license gate reappears and you must enter a valid license key to continue. The cutoff is not a fixed number of days — it happens on the next theme load after revocation. Renew your subscription to restore access.

How does license verification work

Every time you open the theme editor or a page with the license gate, the theme checks your license status against our license provider. If your subscription was revoked (cancelled or expired), the stored activation is removed and the license gate appears. Access is not indefinite without renewal — each load re-checks your license status.

Can I use one license for multiple stores

No. Each license key can only be assigned to one Shopify store. You will need to purchase a separate license for each additional store.

Can I transfer my license to a different store

License transfers between stores are only available in rare cases and are not guaranteed. Contact us to discuss your situation.
