# Store access request

If you contact our support team we may ask for a collaborator access code. This will give us the ability to request access to parts of your Shopify account. With this we're able to investigate support issues much better. This is a much safer way to share account access - you'll always remain the admin and have the ability to revoke access at any time. 

## How to get a collaborator access code

To obtain a Shopify collaborator request code, go to your Shopify admin, navigate to **Settings > Users and permissions**, then scroll down to the Collaborators section and click **Generate new code**.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to **Settings** > **Users**.
2. Click **Security**.
3. Click the 4-digit code to copy it to your clipboard.
4. Provide the 4-digit code to your collaborator.
